Switching the deployment method¶
Where¶
In the "Actions" dropdown of an environment. It's the item labelled 'Switch deployment method'.
If the action is disabled, you might not have the required permissions.
Please contact the helpdesk if you believe this should not be the case.
What does it do?¶
Clicking the item, opens up a modal. Here you can choose to switch to one of several methods available.
On most environments, the dropdown will be prefilled with at least these 2 methods (or variants of these):
- Git reference
- Gitlab Artifact
When switching between methods, be aware you will also need to make changes to configuration.
