Create a Segment with bounced Emails

This isn’t required, but if you want to be able to select the Contacts with bounced Emails easily – for example, to delete all bounced Contacts – create a Segment with bounced Emails.

Success

Using a dedicated IP address for your email campaigns can help in maintaining a good sender reputation and improving deliverability. Shared IP addresses can be affected by the actions of other users, leading to higher bounce rates.

Steps

  1. Go to Segments > New.
  2. Type in the Segment name. For example, Bounced Emails.
  3. Open the Filters tab.
  4. Create the new filter
    • Find the Bounced Email option and click select it
    • On the configuration section, set the operator equals
    • For the value field, set Yes.
  5. Now Save & Close this Segment.
  6. Wait for the Cron jobs commands to be automatically triggered.

Info

Some bounces (called Soft bounces) are often caused by temporary issues, such as a full inbox or a server problem. While these may resolve on their own, it's a good practice to monitor and remove persistent soft bounces to maintain a clean email list.

All Contacts with bounced Emails should appear in this Segment.
