Moving contacts to static segments using a campaign action

We’re assuming you already have pre-created static segments set to Public and Active.

Steps

1. Log in to your Mautic account.
2. Navigate to Campaigns from the main menu.
3. Create a new campaign or select an existing one.
4. Launch the Campaign Builder by clicking on the campaign name then Edit.
5. Add a contact source clicking on the "Contact Sources" menu.
   • Specify the contacts to include in your campaign (e.g., contacts joining a segment or submitting a form).
6. Add an action:
   • Click on the bottom connector in the campaign workflow.
   • Select Action from the list.
   • Choose Modify Contacts Segment.
7. Configure the action:
   • Name the action (e.g., "Move to Static Segment").
   • Select the static segment(s) you want to move the contacts to.
8. Save the Campaign and ensure it is Active.

Results

• Contacts appear in the specified static segment.
• Campaign actions are triggered based on the segment membership.
• Event history shows the segment membership change.
