Contact activity history

Understanding the interaction and activity history of each contact in Mautic is crucial for effective marketing automation and customer relationship management. Mautic's timeline feature displays a contact's event history, which can be synced with more tools for a comprehensive view of contact interactions.

Its tracking capabilities also allow for detailed analysis and reporting of contact behavior while navigating your websites.

Steps

  1. Log in to your Mautic account.
  2. Navigate to the Contacts page to view the list of contacts.
  3. Click on a specific contact to view their details.
  4. Review the History tab to see a chronological list of the contact's activities, such as email reads, form submissions, and points gained to analyze the contact's engagement.
  5. Filter the contact's event history using the 'Include events by source' and 'Exclude events by source' fields to focus on specific types of interactions.
  6. Sort the event history by clicking on column names to arrange the events in ascending or descending order.
  7. Export the filtered history if needed by clicking the 'Export' button to download it as a CSV file.

Regularly reviewing and updating your tracking and segmentation strategies will help maintain the relevance and effectiveness of your marketing campaigns. Consider implementing a decay model to reduce scores over time for inactive contacts.
