Set up email notifications for form submissions

Setting up email notifications for form submissions in Mautic ensures that you are promptly informed whenever a user submits a form. This is essential for timely follow-ups and maintaining engagement with your audience. For instance, a sales team can immediately respond to inquiries submitted through a contact form.

Info

We’re assuming you already have permission to manage forms and an email address to which results will be sent.

Steps

  1. Log in to your Mautic account.
  2. Navigate to the Forms section by selecting "Components" and then clicking on "Forms".
  3. Select the form you want to set up notifications for from the list of available forms.
  4. On the Details page, click on Edit.
  5. Click on the "Actions" tab within the form settings.
  6. Add a new action by clicking on the "Add a new submit action" button.
  7. Choose "Send form results" from the list of available actions.
  8. Configure the notification settings:
    • Specify the recipient email address where notifications should be sent. This can be your email or any other designated address.
    • Customize the email content if needed. Include relevant details such as form fields and submission time.
  9. Save the settings to activate the email notifications.
  10. Test the form by submitting a test entry to ensure that the email notifications are working correctly.

Results

  • You should receive an email each time a form is submitted.
  • Notifications should contain all the necessary details from the form submission.

Success

Regularly check your spam or junk folder to ensure that form submission notifications are not being misclassified. Also consider setting up filters or rules in your email client to automatically organize and prioritize these notifications for better management.
