Updating contacts in bulk¶
Updating contacts in bulk in Mautic is useful for efficiently managing large volumes of contact data. This allows you to make changes to multiple contacts simultaneously, saving time and ensuring consistency. For example, you might want to update the segment or campaign membership of several contacts at once.
Steps¶
- Go to the Contacts page in Mautic.
- Use the checkboxes next to the contacts you want to update. You can select multiple contacts by clicking the checkboxes.
- Click the green arrow at the top of the checkbox column to open the batch actions dropdown.
- Select the desired action from the dropdown menu (e.g., Change Campaigns, Change Segments, etc.).
- A modal window will appear. Configure the details of the action as needed (e.g., select the campaign or segment to add/remove contacts from).
- Click the Save button to apply the changes to the selected contacts.
Results¶
The selected contacts will have their details updated according to the action you chose.
Success
For large updates involving more than a few hundred contacts, consider using a Campaign action. Add the contacts to a segment and use a campaign to trigger the changes. This method is more efficient and reduces the risk of performance issues.
