Profiles
Profiles¶
The 'Profiles' tab of a CDP gives you an overview of the data being captured on your domain(s).
Find info on how to get started with data capture on the General Overview.
Top¶
- Segment: show only the Profiles that are part of a specific Segment
- Date of last visit: give a date range for when the visitor(s) were last seen. By default it is set to the last 7 days. You can clear it to show the data since the very beginning, by clicking the 'x'
- # of profiles: how many Customer Profiles there are at the moment (taking into account selected filters)
- # of pageviews: how many pageviews there have been across the domains running data capture (taking into account selected filters)
- Bouncer?: filters on the
bounce
property of a Profile, which means visitors who only visited 1 page.- so if set to
false
, this shows all Profiles with more than 1 visit.
- so if set to
Warning
There is currently a limitation with the Dashboard, where you can't see Profiles that belong to multiple Segments. We are aware of this and looking for a solution.
Data table¶
This lists the visitors by their profile ID, showing some recognizable Profile properties (eg. their first or last visit) as well as the Segment they are in.
Warning
Some Profiles may have N/A
for the Segment, there are 2 possible reasons for this:
- the visitor doesn't belong to a Segment
- the visitor belongs to multiple Segments: it's a limitation of the Dashboards that we can't retrieve the full list. We are aware of this and looking for a solution.
Bottom¶
- Segment division: this gives you an idea of the amount of Segments, as well as their (relative and absolute) size. Eg. hover on a Segment to see how many Profiles there are in it.
- 100 most popular exit pages: this shows the last page visit before a Session was ended (eg. user left the site or closed their browser). The
N/A
entries are where an exact path could not be determined.
This map shows where the visits originated from and how many there were. You can drill down by double-clicking on specific region markers. This information is based on IP address and provides an approximation of a device’s location in a general area, not a precise address. It can also be influenced by the use of a VPN.
